It also has a voice control feature with noise detection, which means it can start playing on its own when it hears a sound like crying. It has a built-in 300 mAh battery that supports up to 23 hours of use and charges in about an hour.
The size is 93 x 80 x 28 mm and it comes in white, with a USB cable and a color box in the package. It is small enough to carry in a bag or a pocket, and it can be used in a crib, a stroller, a hotel room or anywhere else you need a familiar sound.

Everything works well at home. Your baby has their crib, their room, their sounds and their routines. Then you travel, and it all changes. The hotel walls are thin. There is a party in the next room, a door slamming in the hallway or the hum of an air conditioner that keeps switching on and off. Your baby, who slept well last week, wakes up every hour.
You try a few things. You hold the phone near the crib with a white noise video, which drains the battery and interrupts when a message arrives. You ask for a different room. You put a towel under the door. None of it is a real solution, and you spend the night listening to every noise, wondering which one will be the next to wake them.
The Portable Sound Machine is made for these situations. It weighs 66 g, plays 10 sounds including white noise, ocean waves and a heartbeat and uses voice control to start when it hears a cry. A built-in battery lasts up to 23 hours, and it charges in about an hour.
With it beside the crib, the room feels more like home. A steady sound covers the corridor noise, and your baby has something familiar to listen to. You do not need to plug it in or find a spot near an outlet. Because it goes anywhere, it turns an unfamiliar room into a place where sleep is a bit more likely.
