1. Who we are

APYKIDZ (“APYKIDZ”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates the online store at apykidz.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. By using the Site or placing an order you acknowledge this policy. Our store is hosted and powered by Shopify, and the checkout is provided by Shopify; the Privacy Policy shown at checkout (hosted by Shopify) also applies to information collected there.

2. Information we collect

Contact and order details: name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address, and the items you order.
Personalization details: names, dates or other text you enter to customize a product.
Payment information: card and payment details are entered on the secure checkout and processed by our payment providers. We never see or store your full card number.
Account information: if you create an account, your login details, preferences and order history.
Communications: messages you send through our contact form, by phone or email, and your support history.
Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, products viewed or added to your cart, referring website, and approximate location derived from your IP address, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
Data stored in your browser: your cart, wishlist and likes, and the status and timing of promotional offers (for example whether a discount offer is running or was declined). This data stays on your device and is not used to identify you.

3. How we use your information

To process and deliver orders, send order confirmations, shipping updates and tracking.
To provide customer support and handle returns, refunds and claims.
To operate, secure and improve the Site, including fraud prevention and detecting abuse of discount codes.
To personalize your experience, for example remembering your cart and wishlist.
To send marketing emails or messages about products and offers where you have signed up or where the law allows. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every message.
To show you relevant advertising on other websites and social platforms (see section 6).
To comply with legal obligations and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

4. Legal bases (EEA, UK and similar regions)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (processing your order), legitimate interests (running and securing the Site, analytics, direct marketing to existing customers), consent (marketing cookies, newsletters, where required, which you can withdraw at any time) and legal obligation (tax and accounting records).

5. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as needed with:

Shopify, which hosts the Site and checkout.
Payment processors, to take payment and prevent fraud.
Fulfillment and supply partners and shipping carriers, who receive your name, address, phone number and order details, and any personalization text, so they can prepare and deliver your order. Some of these partners are located outside your country, including in China.
Analytics, advertising and marketing providers, such as the advertising platforms we use to measure and promote our store.
Professional advisers, authorities and successors, where required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.

6. Cookies, advertising and your privacy choices

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential functions (cart, checkout, security), analytics, and advertising. Sharing data with advertising partners for targeted advertising may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under some US state laws. You can opt out on our Your Privacy Choices page. 7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example California, other US states, the EEA, the UK, Canada), you may have the right to: know and access the personal information we hold about you; correct it; delete it; receive a portable copy; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; opt out of the sale or sharing of your information and of targeted advertising; and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We respond within the time required by law (generally 30 to 45 days). We may keep information we are legally required to retain, such as order and tax records.

California residents: in the last 12 months we collected the categories of information listed in section 2 (identifiers, commercial information, internet activity, approximate geolocation) for the purposes in section 3 and disclosed them to the recipients in section 5. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.

8. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above: order and tax records for the period required by law (typically up to 7 years), support records for as long as needed to resolve your matter, and marketing data until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

9. International transfers

We and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries whose data protection laws differ from yours. Where required, we rely on safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and a PCI-compliant checkout. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects you, we will notify you as the law requires.

11. Children

Our products are designed for children but are intended to be purchased by parents and adults. The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 where applicable) and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Third-party links

The Site may link to third-party websites and social platforms. We are not responsible for their privacy practices; please read their policies.

13. Do Not Track

Except for the Global Privacy Control, we do not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows the latest version, and material changes will be highlighted on the Site.
