Handheld Game Console

Waiting is a big part of family life. There is the waiting room at the pediatrician, the line at the airport, the long stretch on the highway when you are a passenger, the hour before a sibling's game starts. Everyone has a way of passing the time, and for many that means picking up a phone.

The phone is not always ideal. It runs down when you need it for something else. It pulls you into messages, news and notifications. It is also the thing you hand to children when you are desperate, and then you are not sure how you feel about the length of time they have been holding it. You wish for something that was just for playing.

The Handheld Game Console is a separate device for that. It is a compact console with joystick controls, an open-source ArkOS system and 64GB or 128GB of storage. It is small enough to fit in a pocket and comes with a charging cable and a user manual.

On a long trip, or in a waiting room, you have something to do that is not on your phone. It stays in the bag until it is needed, and it keeps the phone free for calls, maps or photos. The listing is brief about features, so we suggest asking us anything you want to know before ordering. For the right person, it is a simple, portable way to fill the empty moments of the day.
