Shoes seem like the next step, but the ones in the store look heavy and stiff. Your baby is not walking yet, and you are not sure they need something with a thick sole. You would like something that lets them feel the floor and move their toes, but with a little more protection and grip than a plain sock.

The Soft Sock Shoes are a middle ground. They have a cotton upper that stays breathable and a soft, flexible TPE sole with traction. They are mid-cut, come in five cartoon designs and fit babies from around 6 to 12 months. The sizes go from 20 to 25, with a size guide to help you pick.

With them on, cruising along the furniture feels more secure. There is a bit more grip on smooth floors, a bit more warmth for the feet and no stiffness to hold them back. You can leave them on around the house without worrying about slips. For a stage of small wobbling steps, soft shoes are a gentle way to support the change.
