This baby white noise machine plays white noise and music, glows as a gradient night light and has a timer. Its cry detection can start the sounds automatically, and it charges over USB with a hanging style for the nursery. It is model TS900, supplied with a USB cable and manual.
Many babies dislike a completely silent room, but a phone playing sounds is not ideal and an overhead light wakes everyone. Parents look for a calm sound-and-light routine that does not mean walking in and out of the room.
What people like about a sound machine is the routine it creates. The same soft sounds and glow every night tell a baby it is time to sleep, the timer stops it running all night and the cry detection can start soothing sounds before you arrive. Charging by USB means you can move it between rooms and take it on trips.
When comparing baby sound machines, check the sound options, the battery and whether it turns off by itself. Keep the volume at a comfortable level and place the device at a safe distance from the crib, as your pediatrician recommends.
If bedtime is a struggle, a consistent sound and light routine is one thing you can try. It combines the functions of a sound machine and a night light in one device.
